9:26am Update: It is snowing at the base and summit!
Happy New Year from the entire Bear Valley team!
What a way to ring in 2026 last night at our inaugural Sky High New Year's Celebration! (stay tuned for photos) Huge thanks to Dome Dust for delivering an incredible night of DJ sets and keeping the energy high as we welcomed the new year together.
Winter is lining up in a big way for the first days of 2026. Today a rain/snow mix is projected before 1pm (It'll be a wet day so dress appropriately; it's a good idea to bring extra clothing, gloves, etc. as the skiing and riding will be fine with a groomed, wet snow surface) then turning to snow after 1pm! Snowfall looks to continue through Sunday and into Monday, with several feet possible, a strong start to the New Year! Stay tuned here for all the updates as the weather rolls in.
UPCOMING EVENTS
January at Bear Valley keeps the momentum going after New Year’s Eve with a packed events calendar. From the Rasmussen Classic ski race and awards dinner to the Berkeley Cal Band weekend, Winter Explosion Torchlight Parade & Celebration, and Ski California Safety Day, there’s something happening all month long. We’ll wrap up January with Boarding for Breast Cancer, bringing the community together for a great cause.
