Bear Valley’s First Turn Program is designed for guests who have never skied or snowboarded before and are ready to learn the right way. 1-Day and 3-Day First Turns packages are available online now and valid anytime during the 2025/2026 winter season.
Whether you’re testing the waters or committing to learning, First Turns offers a simple, structured path from beginner carpets to your first chairlift experience.
First Turns Package Options
1-Day First Turns Package – $149 (Ages 4+)
A great introduction to skiing or snowboarding.
Beginner carpet pass for the day
Standard ski or snowboard rentals
2-hour First Turn group lesson
BEST DEAL: 3-Day First Turns Package – $199 (Ages 4+)
Designed to build confidence and real progression.
Day 1: Carpet pass
Day 2: Rentals, lesson, carpet pass, and beginner lift access
Day 3: Rentals, lesson, carpet and all-mountain lift access
✔ Package days do not need to be consecutive ✔ We recommend using all days within 30 days for the best learning experience.

First Turn packages are for first timers only, guests who have never skied or snowboarded before. Access is limited to beginner carpets and designated progression terrain. If you already ski or snowboard, please purchase regular day passes, rentals, and group or private lessons.
