Rasmussen Classic - Act 2
The drought in Southern California has left Snow Summit Resort with insufficient snow coverage to hold their U14/U16 Slalom race scheduled for January 25-26. Bear Valley has stepped in to host the event, now called the Rasmussen Classic. This is reminiscent of past years when all youth categories from U10 through U16 competed in the event.
Our team is hard at work organizing this event, which is just 5 days away. The well-oiled Race Organizing Committee is ready, but need additional volunteers to assist with the race.
If you can help as a gate judge, with course maintenance, merchandise sales, or in another role, please email Jackie, our volunteer coordinator, at volunteers@bvsef.org with your interest. Specifically, they are looking for gate judges to work from 8 AM–3 PM this weekend. Volunteers should be able to ski Tucks Traverse to the top of Upper Nastar. In appreciation, volunteers will receive a complimentary day pass (to use for themselves or a friend) and a free lunch.
Thank you for supporting this exciting event!
