Upcoming Team Wrap-Up Weekend


Get ready for an exciting and memorable team wrap-up event this coming weekend, filled with friendly competition, team spirit, and well-deserved appreciation.


Saturday: Race Course Runs & Dress-Up Day The weekend will kick off on Saturday with timed race course runs, giving team members a chance to showcase their speed, skills, and determination. Expect some fierce competition as everyone pushes themselves to achieve their best times.


Adding to the excitement, Saturday will also mark the annual team dress-up day, where creativity will be on full display. From hilarious costumes to coordinated team outfits, this event always brings plenty of laughs and camaraderie. It’s a fantastic way to celebrate the team’s hard work throughout the season.


For those who have been waiting on their back-ordered team t-shirts, they will be available for pickup in the Sunroom during lunchtime, ensuring everyone can proudly sport their team gear.


Sunday: Appreciation Lunch On Sunday, the team will gather once again for a special appreciation lunch, served by the dedicated coaches. This event is a way to recognize the team’s efforts, dedication, and achievements throughout the season. It will be a wonderful time to reflect on the hard work, celebrate accomplishments, and enjoy a delicious meal together.


As the season comes to a close, this weekend will serve as the perfect send-off, strengthening team bonds and creating lasting memories. A huge thank you in advance to everyone who will participate, the coaches for their support, and the team for making this season one to remember!

Bear Valley Race Team: Final Races for the Season


As the season nears its conclusion, the Bear Valley Race Team is gearing up for a thrilling series of final races across multiple age groups. With athletes putting in months of hard work and dedication, these upcoming competitions mark a significant milestone in their ski racing journey.


U10 Divisional Championships – Sugar Bowl

This weekend, our U10 racers will take on the Divisional Championships at Sugar Bowl, where they will compete in Giant Slalom (GS), Slalom (SL), and the dynamic Kombi event. The young athletes are eager to put their skills to the test, showcasing their speed, agility, and technical precision in these exciting races.


U12 Training for Championships – Diamond Peak

Our U12 skiers are in intense training mode as they prepare for their Championships at Diamond Peak, scheduled for March 27-30. Events will include Slalom (SL), Giant Slalom (GS), Super-G/Training Runs (SG/TR), and Super-G (SG). With rigorous preparation, these young racers are honing their techniques to perform at their peak during this crucial competition.


U14 Championships – Palisades Tahoe

The U14 racers are setting their sights on their Championships at Palisades Tahoe from April 3-6. This prestigious event will feature Slalom (SL), Giant Slalom (GS), Super-G/Training Runs (SG/TR), and Super-G (SG). The team is working tirelessly to refine their skills, aiming to deliver strong performances on the challenging slopes of Palisades Tahoe.


U16 Tech Finals – Northstar

For our U16 athletes, the season will culminate in the Tech Finals at Northstar from March 27-30. This event will test their abilities in Slalom (SL) and Giant Slalom (GS), pushing them to execute flawless turns and maintain speed through technical courses. With fierce competition expected, our racers are determined to leave it all on the mountain.


A Season to Remember

With the season winding down, Bear Valley’s racers have demonstrated exceptional dedication, perseverance, and passion for ski racing. As they head into these final races, we look forward to seeing their hard work pay off with strong performances and unforgettable experiences on the slopes.

9th Annual Nickolay Dodov Slopestyle


Mark your calendar for Saturday, March 29th, 2024! The 9th Annual Nickolay Dodov Slopestyle Competition is happening at Kodiak Park!


This event is hosted in collaboration with the Nickolay Dodov Foundation, honoring Nickolay Dodov’s legacy by providing free avalanche safety education to youth and snow sports enthusiasts.


Whether you’re throwing down your best tricks or just here for the good vibes, come out and support this incredible cause. Open to skiers and snowboarders of all ages! Entry fee is $20 with all funds benefiting the Nickolay Dodov Foundation.


Live music, great snow, and a chance to give back—don’t miss it!

Senior Ski Clinics 


Join us for a Senior Ski Clinic, designed for intermediate and advanced skiers aged 65 and up. Led by longtime Bear Valley instructor Rich LeBlanc, a PSIA/AASI-certified professional, each two-hour clinic is tailored to the abilities, goals, and needs of participants. 


Whether you're looking to refine a skill, improve technique, explore new terrain, or connect with fellow skiers, these clinics offer a great opportunity to enhance your time on the mountain.


There is no minimum or maximum number of participants—if one person signs up, the clinic will take place.

Schedule:

  • 9:00 AM – Meet in the cafeteria for complimentary coffee, tea, and pastries

  • 9:30 AM – Head out on the snow

$55 per clinic (Lift ticket not included)

All Conditions, All Confidence: Women's Ski Clinics


Are you ready to elevate your skiing skills and tackle new terrain with confidence? 


Join our All Conditions, All Confidence Women’s Ski Clinics at Bear Valley! Designed for intermediate to advanced skiers, these clinics are led by experienced female instructors and offer a supportive environment to improve your technique and build skills in all conditions.


Time: 1:30 PM – 3:15 PM, Ages 13+ Only


Dates: March 28th, April 12th, April 15th


Price: $79 (lift ticket and equipment not included)


Bonus: Après-ski wine tasting after every clinic to debrief and relax with fellow participants!
