We picked up a light dusting of 2" of snow, with more expected tonight through Sunday. Totals are still tracking at 1–2 feet by the time this weather pattern winds down early Monday.


Safety reminder: with deep snow conditions, always ski and ride with a buddy and avoid tree wells! Visit caltrans for all the latest road conditions.


1/4/26 Resort Services


Lifts

Mokelumne Express, Polar Express, Koala, Cub, Super Cub, Panda Carpet will all be spinning today! Visit our lifts and trails page for up to date statuses on all chairs.


Terrain Parks

Forest Park; 2 jumps, 3 jibs


Guest Services

Open 8:30AM–4:00PM for pass pickups and purchases.


Preferred Parking

Preferred parking is in effect starting 12/26/25 and is $30 per vehicle for those that are not parking pass holders. Parking pass holders have reserved access to the preferred lot until 10am daily, spaces within the lot are available on a first-come, first-served basis.


Shuttle Service

The shuttle will be running every day the resort is open, making it easy to head into the Village for lunch at Sky High or to fuel up with coffee and pastries at Kofi Haus. There are also two parking lot shuttles on weekends and holiday periods. Visit our parking and shuttles page for the schedule.


Lessons

We will have limited lesson services available from December 26th onwards, keeping in mind changing conditions. The lesson desk will be open 8:30am - 2:30pm. Contact: lessons@bearvalley.com or 209-753-2301x619 for questions.

The Bear Valley General Store has all your Winter essentials, from wine, beer, and cooking supplies to the latest Bear Valley outerwear. Open December 29th through January 3rd with special holiday hours from 9am - 7pm.

Berkeley CAL Band Weekend – January 9th – 10th

Feel the energy of the Berkeley CAL Band as they bring their spirited performances to Bear Valley. With over 100 members, the band plays live on the hill and around the Bear Valley Lodge, adding a festive vibe to your ski days and après moments.


 Rasmussen Classic – January 10th – 11th

Watch U14–U18 racers from multiple resorts take on the challenging Feather Duster Slalom course in the annual Rasmussen Classic. After racing, join the Awards Dinner & Silent Auction in the Sunroom, a weekend that celebrates the next generation of racers and supports the Bear Valley Snowsports foundation.


Never Summer Gear Demos – January 16th - 17th

Take advantage of Never Summer demos on the sundeck. Try out the latest boards and gear from Never Summer, perfect for riders wanting to test new equipment before committing.


Murphys on the Mountain – January 17th

Join us for Murphys on the Mountain, where you’ll enjoy wine tastings from local winemakers from the Murphys region. It’s a chance to sip, savor, and connect with wine and good company just a short drive from Bear Valley. Hovey Winery will be joining us!


Winter Explosion: Torchlight Parade & Celebration – January 17th

One of the season’s marquee events, Winter Explosion lights up the night with a torchlight parade down the slopes and a fireworks show. The day includes demos, contests, DJ performance by Disco Cowboy from 3:30pm-7:00pm, dinner options, and more, culminating in a spectacular evening experience on the mountain.


Ski California Safety Day – January 24th

Join Ski California Safety Day for a day focused on mountain safety. Meet patrol, learn tips and tricks for smarter skiing and riding, and enjoy interactive activities designed to make time on snow safer and more fun.


Boarding for Breast Cancer Fundraiser – January 31st 

Boarding for Breast Cancer returns to Bear Valley to support breast cancer awareness, early detection, and community. Expect discounted tickets (wear pink!), a pink terrain park, raffles, B4BC Bingo, live DJ vibes, and more moments on snow for a great cause.
