Welcome to Bear Valley Mountain Resort’s 2025/2026 Ski and Snowboard Mid-Week Educational Program!

Bear Valley’s Mid-Week Educational Program includes a 1-hour lesson, rental equipment and
day pass for each enrolled student. If you have any questions during the scheduling process and visit, contact Mariah Schimke at mariahm@bearvalley.com or call 209.753.2327 x110.

• This program is for skiers and snowboarders aged 10-18 years old (4th grade and above)
• Minimum student enrollment requirement is 15, maximum is 80 students per visit.
• Each school is allowed a maximum of 3 visits per year to Bear Valley.
• Students may try either skiing or snowboarding.
• Each visit will include a mandatory group lesson.
• Be sure to inform us if you have any students that will need an adaptive lesson. We are happy to accommodate all students, but advanced reservations of no less than two weeks are required. In the event we cannot provide the required level of instruction or specialized equipment on the day of the school visit, every effort will be made to schedule a suitable lesson at another time.

Schools should plan to arrive no later than 9:00AM to ensure a smooth schedule for the educational component of the program. Late arrivals will affect the schedule for lessons throughout the day. Keep in mind it takes time to fit everyone to the correct rental equipment. Assistance from school representatives and chaperones is appreciated.

Students and chaperones will meet at the lesson area, with equipment, 10 minutes before the lesson time. To help determine appropriate lesson levels, students may be asked to perform a number of skills, drills and maneuvers on snow.  If this is the first time trying skiing or snowboarding, the instructors will help familiarize students with equipment before moving away from the meeting location. All students (including first timers) will have a 1-hour lesson, with lesson times confirmed upon arrival at the resort.  Late students will not be allowed to enter a class already in session, and will be released to their chaperone, with no refund, replacement or reimbursement given for the missed class.
