Opening Day Plans!!

 Snow has fallen and we can’t wait to get open.  Here’s the scoop…..We’ve received approx 6-8 inches out of the last storm, we’d like to see another 3 -4 feet of natural snow to open sooner then later.  If we get that snow, we will open “weekends only” which means Fri-Sun.  The next opportunity, for weekends-only,  is Dec. 4th and Dec. 11th.   However, On Dec. 18th we go 7 days a week!!  So what if we don’t get that natural snow…you may be asking?  Well thanks to our $100k investment in state of the art equipment last year and our experienced snowmaking crew, we will be open with snowmaking or Mother Nature by Dec. 18th.  Our crews already had a good window and got in several hours of snowmaking so far.  So keep an eye on the weather reports for an early opening.  Or make plans to head up Dec. 18th…we can’t wait to see you on the slopes!

Starting Friday Nov. 27th Bear Valley Mtn Main Office will be open 9am-4pm 7 days a week for season passes, lockers and teams and inquiries.

Warren Miller This Friday and More- Nov 27th

Make plans for Bear Valley this weekend for a screening of Dynasty on Friday, November 27th, 7:00pm, at the  Bear Valley Lodge.  This is a special experience with a roaring fireplace in the cozy Cathedral lounge.  Bars and restaurants will be open for your enjoyment and the atmosphere will be snowsports enthusiasts galore.  The event raises funds for the AMA Snowsports foundation.  Every paid entrance will recieve a mid-week day ticket from Bear Valley Mountain and Bear Valley Cross Country.  All movie-goers will also get the opportunity to win fun prizes from local sponsors and even the chance to win a brand new Subaru from Sonora Subaru.  A brand new Subara was won at the first AMA screening in Angels Camp this past Friday.   Tickets are on sale now at Angels Food Market, Sierra Hills Market, Big Trees Market and Bear Valley Sport Shop.  Get up here for all the Winterfest fun all weekend long.
