Summer Adventure Club Schedule

Learn in Color

What trees make up the Stanislaus National Forest? How can you identify them? Campers will explore the surrounding Bear Valley area with an experienced guide, and learn to identify trees and plant species. In the process, they will create a Leaf Book to take a piece of Bear Valley home with them. They'll finish the day in a special tie-dye workshop, where they can use abnormal tools to make one of a kind designs!

The Golden Days

What's summer for? Friends and fun! Campers will have the opportunity to experience all the Bear Valley Adventure Park has to offer, with a focus on team building. Then, they'll take a trip back in time to the California Gold Rush to learn about the settlers of Murphys and Arnold. As a team, they'll have the chance to pan for gold themselves.

The Native World

Bear Valley and its surrounding area are rich with history. Campers will explore the former stomping grounds of the Miwok Native American tribe, learning of their culture, hunting strategies, and connection to the land. They’ll be given the opportunity to create their own arrows, spend time on the Archery Range, and have Miwok mythology storytelling.

Quality H2O

Water, water, and more water! We'll set out to Bear Lake to enjoy the freshly melted snow. Campers will learn about snowfall and how it relates to the local watershed and ecology. They'll be given the opportunity to use only what they can find to build a boat, and see which invention wins in a boat race!
