MOUNTAIN UPDATES


Mother Nature is delivering steady snowfall! We received 3" overnight, bringing the 7-day total to 9" and the season total to 11".


More snow is on the way today, with 2–4 inches of additional accumulation possible and temperatures are holding near 26°F—perfect for snowmaking!


The snow stoke is at an all-time high! Our team is closely monitoring conditions and will keep you updated on our projected opening.


It’s not too late to join the fun and kick off the 24/25 season as part of the Bear Valley team! We’re hosting a hiring fair tomorrow at the Meadowmont Center Plaza in Arnold, CA, from 10AM–3 PM. Meet the team and apply in person!










Winter is in full swing! A series of storm systems will be rolling in starting tonight and continuing through the weekend. With colder temperatures settling in, our snowmaking team is working around the clock to bring the season to life. Heavy snowfall is expected from Thursday night into Friday, with potential snow totals ranging from 6 to 12 inches—and up to 18-24 inches at higher elevations.


Our goal is to open the slopes on Saturday, November 23rd, with Mokelumne Express, the NEW Cub chair, and Cub carpet all scheduled to spin for opening weekend. While we’re aiming for this start date, please stay tuned for updates as we continue to assess conditions.


Our lodge is open for bookings on Friday, November 22nd, and Saturday, November 23rd—secure your stay and be part of the opening weekend!

Winter has officially arrived at Bear Valley! Snow started falling around noon today, and by 4 PM, we’ve received 6” at the base. With temperatures dropping due to the storm, our snowmaking team will be firing up the snow guns tonight to make the most of the cold conditions. Stay tuned for updates on our 24-hour snow total!


The Koala Chair is on schedule for an opening before Christmas, and the new Cub Chair is now ready to go. With the right mix of natural snow and cold temperatures, we're optimistically aiming for an opening on or before Thanksgiving weekend.


Winterfest is just around the corner, taking place from Friday, November 29th to December 1st. We're kicking off the 24/25 winter season with an exciting lineup of events, including a visit from Santa, a ski swap, and the ribbon cutting for the new Cub Chair!
