Cross Country Skiing Discover the joys of cross country skiing at Bear Valley Cross Country. Explore one of the largest and most scenic groomed trail systems in the United States with over 65km of track. All the trails offer a twin track and a skate lane and there are kid specific trails for the smaller ones. The Cross Country Center houses a complete line of ski rentals along with a retail store where you can find equipment, apparel, snacks and much more. Snowshoeing Snowshoeing is gaining tremendous popularity. The discovery of cross country trails for snowshoers have contributed to this fun winter adventure. Bear Valley Cross Country carries snowshoe rentals in a variety of sizes. Mountain Adventure Seminars also offers a guided snowshoe adventure. Start with a chairlift ride to the top of the Mountain and end the trek in the Village. On the trail learn about winter ecology and local lore.

Advanced Adventures Mountain Adventure Seminars and Bear Valley Mountain offer the most exciting sidecountry ski and snowboard experience in California. Using the Bear Tracker Snowcat, chairlifts and gravity driven traverses, small-guided groups access terrain adjacent to the ski area. The mission is to deliver fresh tracks on uncrowded slopes. As conditions permit, plan to venture out to nearly 400 acres of_new terrain. The Bear Tracker Snowcat is a specially outfitted snowcat that holds up to eight people and gear comfortably. The experience of having a snowcat greet you at the bottom of a great powder run and transport you back to the top for more is unmatched.
