Bear Valley Mountain Resort Management encourages guests and enthusiasts to learn about and support, in any way possible, the following organizations. Each group provides special support to the mountain that is invaluable, greatly appreciated and integral to maintaining Bear Valley’s unique charm and environment.

BEAR VALLEY SNOWSPORT EDUCATION FOUNDATION

The Bear Valley Snowsports Education Foundation (BVSEF), located in Bear Valley, California, is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the support of Bear Valley’s snowsports athletes. Through fundraising and on-mountain volunteer work, we provide Bear Valley with the necessary parent and community support to develop highly competitive ski and snowsports teams.

NATIONAL SKI PATROL

The Bear Valley National Ski Patrol is a team of 30 proficient individuals who dedicate themselves to support these three aspects of the ski resort: slopes, people and fun. We work together with the BV Professional Patrol and the First Aid Center to provide a safe and supervised environment to enjoy mountain sports via:

Emergency first aid

Search and rescue work

Trail directions and Lift information

Ski Trail and Terrain Park maintenance

Mountain opening and closing “Sweep” procedures

Avalanche patrol

BEAR VALLEY SKI CLUB

The objectives of the club are to encourage and to organize enthusiasts toward the enjoyment of Alpine and Nordic skiing, to develop skill in skiing among men, women, and children and to promote good fellowship and sportsmanship. Activities will emphasize full family participation. Link to the Bear Valley Ski Club site to learn about activities and benefits during the year!
