Soap Box Derby

Dinner and fun drive! Saturday September 4th.
Labor Day Weekend 2010!
Proudly sponsored by the Bear Valley Parents Group, Inc. (BVPG).  Register for the race! The race begins at 10.00am, with amusement stalls, food and fun.  Racers are aged from 4 to 70, so bring the whole family! We have Youth Class divisions and Open Adult Class where adults can either race our largest cars or build their own-as long as it has official z-glass racing wheels (available at www.aasbd.com) and it must pass our safety check prior to racing. $100 – Family registration, $50 – Racer registration.

Don’t Miss the Awards Dinner this year prepared by the Amazing Chester “Chip”  Roberts,  Chef at Headwaters.  The Awards Dinner will begin at 6pm outside the Perry Walther Building.

Guests are welcome to bring beer/ wine for dinner as there will be no alcohol sold at the event.

Includes a race car with your family name or business logo, family racing entry fee, and a helmet for the driver.

$750 – ½ Car Sponsorship
Advertise on 1 side of a race car.

$650 – Renewed Sponsorship
Sponsors from the previous year have the opportunity to renew their sponsorship for 2010.

$500 – Sideshow Sponsor
Last year we had a Rock Climbing Wall, Speed Ball, Milk Bottle Toss, Shuffle Alley and a Flip a Frog.  You can help make this year even more exciting by sponsoring a sideshow!  We would love to add a petting zoo and pony rides. Contact us if you can help make that happen this year.

Volunteers needed!
We have a variety of volunteer positions available, all hands on deck!    We need timers, safety inspectors, amusements stall attendants, food and beverage servers…..the list goes on!  Please contact us if you are available to help out.

Rummage Sale items needed!
Last year our rummage sale raised over $1500.  Would you like to clear out your garage while raising money for a worthy cause?  Contact us if you have items you would like to donate.

Bear Valley Parents Group is the nonprofit organization that manages BVSAFE summer camp, preschool and after school programs for families.  Soap Box Derby is our number one fundraiser!
