Bear Valley, CA – Bear Valley Mountain Resort today announced that it has moved its projected opening to December 15, 2006 due to lack of snow. The previous scheduled date was Friday, December 8th.
The early season opening date is heavily dependent on weather, and with the lack of snowmaking temperatures and below average early season snowfall, the resort had to push back its projected opening. Ski area officials will confirm the opening date when snow conditions reach a satisfactory level.
“Our ski area rests its reputation on a quality product and we intend to preserve that reputation,” said Jim Gentling, chief operating officer for Bear Valley.
