Parent's Tips
Hitting the slopes with the wee ones can be an organizational challenge.
Our goal is to ensure you have a great day out on the slopes. Here's some tips to help ensure your day goes smoothly.
- Dress your child in layers. If the weather changes, he/she can take something on or off.
- Make sure your child has eye protection- sunglasses or goggles for sunny days and goggles for cloudy/snowy days work best.
- Arrive early! Plan to arrive at least 1 hour (1.5+ hours on weekends/holidays) before your planned lesson time. Late arrivals may foreit their reservation or be placed in a later class.
- Helmets are available with all child lesson packages.
- Make sure your child has had a good night's rest and breakfast.
- Your child will be placed in a group according to age and/or ability. Once on the hill, classes often shift to accommodate different ability levels.
One Stop Shopping is available at the Children's Center. Save time by purchasing tickets, lessons & rentals(excluding private lessons) for the whole family!
- When possible, book ahead. Reservations should be made at least 2 weeks in advance (earlier for major holidays). Space fills up quickly, but walk-ins are always welcome on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations can be made by calling 209-753-2301
x106.
- Parents are encouraged to take an interest in their children's development. However, kids often become distracted (and sometimes distressed) when they see Mom & Dad during their lesson. We ask parents to watch from a distance while kids are participating in any lessons.
- Parents are expected to stay at the resort and be available. If your child becomes sick or injured during the course of the day, we make every effort to contact you and ask that you respond as quickly as possible. Pages will be made over a loud speaker inside the day lodge, and signs will be posted at the top of every available lift.
