John Cashman – Coach of the Year

The results of Coach John’s experience and skill were clearly seen last season as the Bear Valley Race Team scored impressive victories all season long including winning the Maury Rasmussen Cup in the Central series, having podium finishes in nearly every Central Series Race and 8 Top 10 finishes in the Far West J4/J5 Championships including a “hat trick”, 1^st-1^st-1^st sweep of the ladies J5 events. Yet beyond the accomplishments of the Team, John is recognized as patient, supportive coach with a keen eye in developing young racers. His coaching reputation alone has brought a number of race families to the Bear Valley program. Numerous parents have commented on how quickly and confidently their young racers have progressed under Coach Cashman’s and his coaching team’s guidance.”
