Bear Valley Sports Education Foundation (BVSEF)
- BVSEF is a not-for profit organization dedicated to the support of Bear Valley’s snowsports athletes. Its membership is made up of parents and volunteers, such as yourselves, whose children are involved in the snowsports programs at Bear Valley.
- All families will need to register on the Bear Valley Sports Education Foundation website at www.bvsef.org. This is a free site with your team membership, but does require a password to access. This is the main form of communication that will be used by Bear Valley and its coaches to keep you updated on your child’s ski program throughout the ski season. If you have not already registered, PLEASE DO SO AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
- Individuals and families who are not Team members may register on the website as an Associate Member for $25.00/yr or other supporting donations.
- To help keep the cost down on your child’s skiing program, BVSEF parent members should plan on volunteering their time at the events that take place at Bear Valley throughout the ski season. Some of the events that we support through our volunteerism are:
1). The Rasmussen Classic, our USSA Far-West J4-J5 slalom race will be held on January 9-10, 2010.
2). Jim Bottomley Memorial Race. Date to be announced.
3). Devo Olympics- End of the season race for all Devo participants.
5). Slush Cup Dual Pro-Style GS-A fun race for all abilities is March 28th, 2010 (new date as of March 4)
4). Auction and Fund raising events, such as our Silent Auction and
Casino Night. (Dates to be announced).
Please help our young athletes by being a volunteer. If all parents could commit to volunteering at these events throughout the year we will be able to help Bear Valley put on a great ski season for our children.

Bear Valley has produced some of the best riders in the country. Skiers Mike Schimke (Winter X Gamer & Paul Mitchell American Freeskier Tour) and Tyler Skivington (Paul Mitchell American Freeskier Tour skier) developed their skills on our mountain. Safelight Rails, Bear Valley’s official rail supplier developed their products right here.
