What is NASTAR?
NASTAR recreational racing comes to Bear Valley this season with over 20 race dates planned. This program provides the opportunity for skiers and snowboarders of all ages and levels to compete with friends, family and other racers around the country.
How does NASTAR work?
The NASTAR handicap system provides racers with a handicap number that represents their ability. Your will be able to see your stats and how you rank nationally on the NASTAR website. Based on performance racers can win medals and qualify to compete in the NASTAR National Competition each year.
On which run will the races be held?
All races will be held, fittingly, on the NASTAR run. For most races, the start will be on the “NASTAR Bump” although we may schedule a few “Super NASTAR” races from the top of the run.
How do I sign up?
First, you must register with NASTAR on the NASTAR website. Go to NASTAR.COM and click “Register” on the top menu and follow the instructions. Once you have your NASTAR number you are ready to race ….just decide if you want to pay for single races or purchase a Season NASTAR Pass.
How much does NASTAR cost?
Individual races are $10 for 2 runs and $15 for unlimited runs. Individual races will be sold on race day at the Kiosk in the Sunroom
Season NASTAR Race Passes are available for $49 for Youth 13 and Under and $99 for Adults (14+) until Dec 15, 2011. After that date, Youth price is $75 and Adult price is $125. Season Race Passes are sold online at BVSEF.ORG>>Events>>NASTAR
