Bear Valley Mountain Resort uses Camp Counselors USA and Work Experience USA programs exclusively for all our J-1 employees. Please check back with us in Spring 2008 to learn more about the 2008/2009 J-1 work opportunities.
Our resort has received an award for “Going the extra mile” for international staff and special recognition for more than ten years of utilizing H2B and J-1 employees in a way that promotes a diverse, productive workplace and a fun work/travel experience for participants. Some of the services offered by Bear Valley for international employees include - pre-scheduled pick ups in San Francisco during early December, trip to the Social Security Office in Sonora, subsidized employee housing and occasional field trips to see more of California.
Our season generally runs from late November through mid-April, weather permitting. Individuals who are unable to stay the entire season need not apply for H-2B visa sponsorship. Individuals on J-1 visas who are unable to stay at least 15 weeks need not apply.
Bear Valley Mountain Resort is operated under special use permit on the Stanislaus National Forest
