To work at Bear Valley Mountain Resort, all employees must have proper authorization to legally work in the United States. International employees receive the same benefits as domestic full time seasonal employees. Our resort has received an award for “Going the extra mile” for international staff and special recognition for more than ten years of utilizing H2B and J-1 employees in a way that promotes a diverse, productive workplace and a fun work/travel experience for participants. Some of the services offered by Bear Valley for international employees include - pre-scheduled pick ups in San Francisco during early December, trip to the Social Security Office in Sonora, subsidized employee housing and occasional field trips to see more of California.
Our season generally runs from late November through mid-April, weather permitting. Individuals who are unable to stay the entire season need not apply for H-2B visa sponsorship. Individuals on J-1 visas who are unable to stay at least 15 weeks need not apply.
