Housing

Community Housing

The majority of our employees live outside of employee housing. Seasonal rentals in the area are available but can be tough to find, so start your search early. When searching for housing you might want to consider roommates, furnished and location.  Bear Valley Human Resources does maintain a list of people looking for roommates.  If transportation is an issue for you, you may want to consider housing near our employee shuttle stops in Avery, Arnold, Dorrington, Camp Connell and Bear Valley.  As a general rule expect to pay $300 - $500 per person a month for rent, not including utilities. It is common to have to pay the first month's rent and a security deposit upon signing. There is also more information located in the Human Resources department.

Employee Housing

Bear Valley Mountain Resort offers limited employee housing, primarily reserved for our international staff.  The resort leases houses that sleep 6-15 employees with two or three people per room.  Rentals are lightly furnished including kitchen amenities but linens, personal amenities and cleaning products are each employee’s responsibility.  All rental houses are within walking distance of the employee shuttle bus stops.  Housing is not located in Bear Valley Village, most is located in the town of Arnold, 25 miles/40 kilometers from the resort.  Arnold is a small mountain community that offers a variety of shops, services and amenities.

A Cleaning/Damage deposit must be paid prior to moving in of $200.00 per person.  Rental fees are $400.00 per person per month and include utilities, which are water, electricity, propane, and local phone (long distance is at individual’s expense).  Rent is deducted directly from your paycheck every two weeks.

Bear Valley has sole discretion over placement in employee housing.  Priority is given based on distance of relocation, length of seasonal commitment and references.  Conduct rules outlined in the housing agreement must be followed; failure to abide by these rules will result in eviction.
