Every visitor seems to recall the first time they drove up to Bear Valley . Located just above 7,000 feet along National scenic Highway 4 , this beautiful stretch of road is the perfect red carpet to this scenic jewel hidden away in California 's majestic Sierra Mountains.
Maybe it's because there are no chain stores or fast food stores or maybe it is just the black night sky where the stars provide all the entertainment, but all that visit agree, Bear Valley is truly a unique island gem surrounded by a sea of National Forest.
The central focus for the development team as they design the new Village at Bear Valley is to preserve and celebrate the natural beauty this area has to offer, creating a place that families will enjoy together year-round.
Bear Valley Mountain Resort is operated under special use permit on the Stanislaus National Forest
