Add some pizazz to your winter and visit Bear Valley for this fun and challenging backcountry snowshoe adventure.  Stomp across snow covered ridges and bowls and soak in the splendors of the alpine environment.  Along the way your guide will share natural history and backcountry travel tips. This trip typically covers 4-6 miles through a variety of terrain in a non-motorized area along the Mokelumne Wilderness. NASTAR recreational racing returns  to Bear Valley this season after a very successful inaugural season that saw Bear Valley host more NASTAR race starts than any other California resort. Again, we plan to hold over 20 races this coming season.

Do you have a desire to skin up, ski down and then do it again? If so, the Bear Valley Adventure Race is your venue for thrill and skill in both resort and backcountry terrain*. We’ll offer two different courses of vertical challenges for novice and advanced racers. We’re broadening this “randonee” race to include all hedonists: alpine tourers, telemarkers and splitboarders.
