Who says You Can’t Mess with Mother Nature? (12/13/11)

OMG what a run it’s been, despite high winds, power outages, and warm temperatures and of course the lack of natural snowfall, opening day is finally in site. What a difference a week of cold weather makes, the snowmakers have done an unbelievable job this last week. Fortunately for us, it’s been snowing every night at Bear Valley!!

Today I took my tele’s and skinned up Rodeo, crossed over to Cub Meadow and went through the Cub Meadow Terrain Park location and it all looked great! I continued my trek up Lodge Run, Moke Pitch and Moke West to Bear Top; the coverage with the machine made snow was fantastic. The picture was taken this afternoon around 2:00.

This was the 5th or 6th time I took this route up the mtn and what made today special is I was able to link turns from Bear Top all the way back down to the Day Lodge. It’s always a great feeling to make the projected opening day. See you all this weekend!
