Bear Valley’s Snow Message To Our Guests
Its been no secret that this has been a challenging season so far for most all of California. However, I believe Bear Valley is currently offering the best ski and snowboard conditions of the season for our guests. During the beginning of the season and throughout the holidays we invested thousands into snowmaking, then, we had the great storm of January and nearly a foot of snow has fallen earlier this  month. All combined and with the success of the grooming team, we have been offering our guest the highest quality snow surfaces possible and the ski patrol has been providing the most amount of trails open as possible.
Our Resort Village also offers world class activities and events including cross country skiing, snowmobiling & rentals, sledding and tubing. We have just completed several of our signature events with sell outs for the Winter Explosion and the Annual Crab Feed Dinner. On March 3rd the Bear Valley Lodge is hosting the annual Monte Carlo Black Jack Tournament which benefits the BV Search and Rescue Team, the second annual Senior Winter Games are just around the corner & many of the overachievers have already been here to train.
The Bear Valley slope grooming crews are working every night to provide the best snow surfaces possible and thanks to their hard work, recent new snow and our continued investment in grooming equipment we’ve been able to open more terrain and keep them open, again providing the best skiing and snowboarding experience of the season!
We are continually told by our guests that the conditions on the mountain are superior to anything currently offered elsewhere in Northern California. Our employees really are the friendliest in the west! We are proud of what we have to offer and those who have visited BV this winter continually share with us how great their experience was and are pleasantly surprised with all the terrain we have open.
We’ve placed the highest values on delivering a very memorable experience, no matter what the weather brings. Its time to come to Bear Valley and enjoy the winter!

Welcome back Jim. Sorry to hear of your loss.
No worries, you’ll have a lot to talk about by the end of this week. Hopefully multiple feet. It’s looks like we’ll get an entire dose of Winter in about the next three weeks!

Yep Rob you are spot on, i dropped the ball big time and i sincerely apologize for my lack of posting anything new. I am not trying to make excuses, BUT now that i have buried my father-in-law (in chicago), my uncle and my dad (in MN) all in the last 3 weeks, I think I can resume my normal sparatic postings. Again i am sorry i disappointed you and dragged all of Bear Valley down with me!

Richard,
Here is another BV related site that has web cams and weather links, If you look at all the data, the cams and the reports, you can get a good idea of whats going on. There is a web cam on Quaking Aspen in the neigborhood. Check it out at:
http://www.ourbv.com/This weekend will be well worth hiking up to your house. Probably the best conditions so far this year.

Hi Rosie and Biju- Thank you for that information on behalf of Jim. I was thinking of coming up to my cabin on John Ebbetts Road this weekend and wanted to check to see if the subdivision roads are still open and plowed or if Bear Valley Road is closed at The Lodge for the winter, which means a half-mile hike uphill in the snow for me.

Richard Banas – The storm tracker only gets updated every morning. So you wiil see todays snow fall tomorrow morning

Hi Jim-I was surprised to see that the web site snow tracker said only one inch of snow has fallen in the past 24 hours after this big storm that just blew through the San Joaquin Valley. The television weather forecasters said there would be up to 3-5 feet of new snow. As a result, I am confused. Could you please enlighten me as to the snow amount? Thanks

Jim,
I am looking forward to visiting your resort for only my second this time this coming weekend. Having been raised in Tahoe and been a skier my whole life, I’ve seen all types of resorts and skied in every type weather.
My first visit to BV over the holidays was perfect! Most of the reason for this is your excellent, friendly staff. Even over the holidays, they were able to keep the mountain skiable, and in the worst imaginable conditions.
Keep up the great work in this tough season, as even one or two happy guests can spread a lot of goodwill about a resort, as I have since my last visit!
Thanks-
John -
Jim,
Your loyal customer Monica needs to speak to you about bringing my group up this Thursday 3/1.
