Thank you for you interest in Bear Valley Mountain Resort! Hopefully our website has provided you with lots of information on all that we have to offer.
To work at Bear Valley Mountain Resort, all employees must have proper authorization to legally work in the United States. During the 2007-2008 winter season, Bear Valley Mountain employed over 70 international employees. We enjoyed staff members from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and more.
International employees receive the same benefits as domestic full time
seasonal employees. Our resort has received an award for “Going
the extra mile” for international staff and
special recognition for more than ten years of utilizing H2B and J-1 employees
in a way that promotes a diverse, productive workplace and a fun work/travel
experience for participants. Some of the services offered by Bear Valley
for international employees include - pre-scheduled pick ups in San Francisco during early December, trip to the Social Security Office in Sonora, subsidized employee
housing and occasional field trips to see more of California.
Our season generally runs from late November through mid-April, weather permitting. Individuals who are unable to stay the entire season need not apply for H-2B visa sponsorship. All H-2B applicants must be in-country transfers. Individuals on J-1 visas who are unable to stay at least 15 weeks need not apply.
